Currently, the Malalo Sports Foundation is under the association of the United Nations.

I would request you to take some minutes out of your daily life to read further, as it will enable you to understand how we humans of 21st century is capable of impacting lives sitting at our home. But what we do greatly affect those in plight.

A Priceless Smile.

Why I am writing this ?

It won’t be an understatement if I said that the current pandemic is something that has brought the humanity together, and I have seen people helping others, sharing information online and responding to SOS calls. This just makes it so important to understand why every bit of help makes a difference. While one will always try to help within his own community or society, humanity is not restricted by such boundaries, and with this thought in my mind, I tried to explore how I can help people out there.

Encountering the UN Online Volunteer Program and Malalo Sports call for volunteers

I searched for volunteer work for almost a month, and I saw a post by the United Nations calling for volunteers from all over the world. Every volunteer work posted on the website is a noble initiative working toward something that helps people on the ground, but I was captivated by the kids who are part of this NGO sports foundation from Zambia. Malalo sports foundation is not only helping these kids achieve their dream, they are also striving to support their families through this very difficult period.

With the brief conversation (via emails)I had with the head of the Youth Press and Development Organization, I understood that they are trying to collect fund that is crucial for these kids. The funding directly helps them with food and medical supplies.

So, How can You Help us ?

Its simple. There are two things that you can do, which will make a lot of impact.

  1. Donate whatever you can on their GoFundMe ( I’ll share the link)
  2. Share. Share this as much as you can, on social media platforms.
The pandemic has made it more difficult for these kids.

It is understandable that everyone right now is going through some kind of financial difficulties. However, people like us, who are financially privileged is still able to hold on and continue with our life. However, this is not the same for kids there. They are in urgent need for food supplies, and on an average, they require $6 for daily food for each family.

It is totally understandable if you cannot donate at the moment, but please do share this article.

If you cannot donate, that is quite alright. You would be happy to know that you can still help these people just by sharing this article on your social media feed. Sharing this would increase the reach of their fundraising campaign and it will potentially attract donors and partners. So please, do share this.
